As a businessman Trump could not fathom why America did not press the UN to adopt American standards or use tariffs to give American businesses a leg up over foreign competitors. This lack of understanding has been bought to the world stage in American foreign policy actions.

In the business world you take an action then redress if things do not work out. You pick up the pieces from a fallout like Equifax is doing now. It will emerge in the game again later. In foreign policy it is one of contemplation and caution. Picking up the pieces after an error is not an option. It is a new game.
