Cartoon 652: Racism A synonym for the word “Conserve” is “preserve”. When Conservatism came into vogue in the 1950s it was trying to hold on to the culture of that time. It was a masculine society and women were generally absent from the workforce, especially in the higher paid better jobs. It was a time of a higher “White” birthrate and “White” supremacy over all things “American”. It was a time when America was one of the two superpowers in the world, and perhaps the most venerated. It was a time when America’s domestic economic fortunes were rising for everyone. Today the “Conservatism” is not about preserving. Conservatism today is about resurrecting the past. The social and economic factors that existed in the 1950s are gone. Therefore they are attempting to re-instituted them. However, there is one major exception. America is still a “White” country (culturally and racially western European in origin). Some years ago Pat Buchanan issued a warning. He said America is a “White” nation and he wanted it to stay that way. He warned that the “White” birthrate has been steadily dropping. Also the Hispanics streaming across the border have a higher birthrate and the rising percentage of minorities threatened White dominion. An overall strategy is in play. It is apparent if you stop looking at things that impact the American birthrate as tangential or isolated incidents. Some of the things are stealth in nature. It is a fact that “abstinence”, as an approach to sex, does not work in the American culture. Everything from young children’s clothes to food and drink pushes sex. Therefore, if you wanted to increase the birthrate you adopt a public policy that is known not to work in preventing births, hence “abstinence”. College healthcare includes a Federal subsidy. Last year the Administration cut out the part of the subsidy that was applied to birth control. This would price it out of the range of many students. Do you really think sex is going to stop? Again, another subtle effort to rise the birthrate. It is a fact that birthrates climb during periods of economic distress. We are in a period of economic distress. Some of it might have been by design, such as the Federal Reserve failing to meaningfully measure inflation. I guess you would say that schemes to raise the birthrate would also raise the birthrate of minorities, such as Blacks. It does not matter in the case of Blacks. They do not threaten “White” dominance. Blacks, as a significant minority, are in self-destruct mode and easily marginalized. Every time something appears that has an impact on the birthrate lump it with all the other things. I think you will see a pattern. |
