Where are we heading?

America is a “ponzi” scheme. It really started the slide from being a wealthy nation in the 1970s. Everything since then has been largely illusion. Politicians kept the illusion going by funding only the immediate that primarily benefited business and a few high profile activities, such as the space shuttle missions. Whenever the mist obscuring reality started to evaporate they blew new smoke with war or the specter of war.

Over the years national poverty has meant wages not keeping up with expectations of a meaningful life style or the maintaining and enhancing of core infra-structures. The solution to meet expectations was credit. It played to allowed the musical chairs to continue. Cheap, ubiquitous, and easy to acquire credit was the opiate of the nation.

We are starting to experience withdrawal pains. The government is fervently trying to prevent a “cold turkey” adjustment.

America was a balloon that expanded on faith and encompassed the world. The hiss you hear is the faith escaping.
