A definition can illuminate, “anthropomorphism is the attribution of human characteristics to the non-human…”.  This is what we do with business and industry. In fact our laws grant corporations certain rights of a person.  Yet they are not people. Their motivation is not a human one. Their motivation is purely profit. Even humanitarianism is tied to profit.

To believe that investment banking is governed by anything other than profits at all costs is foolish. It is that approach that has made them and hedge funds fantastically wealthy. Buried in their portfolio is anything profitable. The transparency varies with the extent of accepted legality. The consequence of their actions is insulated from the really illegal by legions of lawyers, political contributions, and layers of middlemen.

We need to regulate these carnivores that see us as purely meat.
