Cartoon 740: Two of Us

You might consider this cartoon a bit over the top in imagination. But there are people highly paid that enjoy a great deal of satisfaction coming up with and exploring the highly improbable. For over a half century the clandestine side of the RAND Corporation has provided this service to the government. Too bad I am not one of them. I guess you can say I am “open source” [free service open to the non-commercial public].

I am discouraged as I review the new fall lineup of television shows. I generally wait a few months for the public reaction before watching something that may be of interest. I waited a year before watching NCIS. In our television shows today we either shoot it, hex it, or denigrate it. This is the model corporate America has settled on for popular entertainment. It is as if American intellect has regressed practically to the stone age. How many variations on a cop show can there be? How many paramilitary groups? How many so called “realities” of interest are there? I prefer to craft my own entertainment around speculation.

Take note, I did not comment on the assertion in this cartoon.
