Cartoon 823: Destruction

Genghis Khan is known for burning and sacking cities. It was an object lesson in force. It let other cities know what would happen if you failed to bend to his will. For every city he destroyed, the example resulted in many he did not have to forcefully take. His goal was profit from the cities. A destroyed city burned to the ground does not provide recurring profits. It is a monument to folly.

If you destroy the pillars of society to achieve supremacy, do you have what you wished, or do you inhabit a monument to folly?
