Cartoon 851: Renovation
The root cause of our distress domestically and around the world is population pressure.
America was a land of wide open isolated spaces. Anyone that had a serious issue with the state of things, such as the Mormon Brigham Young, could pack up and live in relative isolation with his clan. The open spaces were a safety valve to relieve pressures on society. Today it does not exist domestically. We see it by all the dissonance.
The problem is not just confined to America. All over the world population pressure with our connectedness is squeezing. It gives rise to anarchy as irreconcilable cultures and values clash. It will only get worse as population increases. The grab for resources and political dominance will generate more and more wars. Genocide will rule the day.
The answer is one abhorrent, especially to Americans. The world must reduce its population. The world can realistically only support 10% of its current population. How do we get from here to there? A global catastrophe is the only answer. The big question is will it be a natural event or one orchestrated by man in a quest for supremacy?
