The real issue with Iran’s nuclear aspirations is destabilizing the Middle East power elite. Israel does not want a powerful Middle East influence that Iran represents. A nuclear capability will make it even more difficult to marginalize. Saudi Arabia is the other powerful member of the club that does not wish Iran to emerge.

In America we live inside a media bubble. We are taken back when on some issues the world heads one way while we head another. The rest of the world is fully aware of America’s double standard on nuclear technology. They witnessed the exemption granted Israel and now being granted India. America is incapable of “good faith” negotiations.

Our dichotomy is the result of American domestic politics. On the one hand by the American Jewish action committees and financed by American Evangelists. On the other the politicians that gravitate because of votes and money. A careful web of public opinion is wrapped around their actions. The bubble it forms is impenetrable by the general public.

Never does the question come up are these actions in the best interest of the nation or our attempts at world leadership?
