Cartoon 867: Eating your own

You can look back, but you cannot go back. This is the biggest fallacy in wishing to return things the way they were. The train has moved on.

The sacrificial lamb in second world societies is the children. America has moved to the second world. Over 90% of the wealth of this nation resides with just 10% of the population. Worst, 80% of that wealth is with just 1%. The 1% control the nation and it domestic and foreign policies. After the Gilead Age they were in the closet. In the last decade they have come out and visibly dominate the agenda.

The younger people are the hope of any nation. Abandon them and you are abandoning the nation. Today 40% of children are in single family homes. Just to get married is not the answer as you go down the economic spectrum. It would take generations for something like that to make a difference and you would need a job market where males were bread winners with an opportunistic living wage. The shift toward formal education from brawn favors the female. Females are unequally yoked with many males. This leads to disaster.

A recent Dilbert comic displays how his dating prospects have improved greatly. The potential females focus on the fact he has a reasonable job. This completely trumps his less desirable personal characteristics.

To save our younger generations we have to recognize the reality. It means more social assistance and not less. Such things in other societies are the norm, such as in Sweden. Childcare is a State entitlement. The answer to saving our seed corn, as things exist right now, is “socialism”. Something the rich intend to make certain never gets a foothold. That is the real battle over Obamacare, a foothold.
