Cartoon 878: Dream On

Whenever mankind gets is a really bad situation, and he cannot save himself, in the movies magnanimous aliens come to the rescue. Most recently we saw it in the movie, “Interstellar”�. We have seen it in other movies such as “Knowing” [arguably god cast as a saving Alien].

The Aliens rescue man because he is so “special”�. They cannot allow humans to be wiped out by his own hand, such destruction of the environment. Nor by providence, such as a solar flare that turns the earth to a cinder or an asteroid strike.

I think this is just wishful thinking. Aliens are much more likely to view us as a two legged virus. We consume to destruction our environment like a virus. We counter productively decimate each other for supremacy. The Aliens will do the opposite of saving him. They would inoculate against mankind and wipe him out.

Maybe they will just ignore this ghetto and quarantine mankind. Could that be why we have failed to contact extra terrestrials?
