Cartoon 881: About power over women
Westerns are encapsulations of American culture. Imagine how a Western with the Duke would handle men’s rights if men got pregnant.
At the critical point in the Western there would be a close up of the Duke’s face. His expression would change to that of steeled resolution. The camera shot would pull back and the Duke would take his six shooter out of his holster.
He would unlock the barrel and give it a flip so it flops exposed. He next draws carriages off his belt to make certain every chamber is filled. Then he flips his weapon again forcing the barrel back in position and locks it. In a smooth motion he places his gun back in his holster. He reaches and grabs the reins of his mount. He climbs up in the saddle. His horse rears. The camera frames him on the horse.
The Duke says into the camera, “…I guess I will pay them a visit” [politicians]. He pauses and adds, “…not even a woman would put up with this!”, to make his point.
