America has been championing the pillars of Capitalism and democracy around the world. The downside is the availability today of world wide communications in the hands a broad swath of humanity. People can look at America and really see how it is working. The masses do not like what they see.

The ideological nuances of America politics are on display. Sound bites that are so effective in the domestic market are unfathomable to most others in the world. It is the failure of government.

They can see what American capitalism has done. Pharmaceutics going up a thousand percent, “just because”. They can see the great disparity in wealth with a society that does not share equably. They see a captured dysfunction political system unable to govern by the very wealthy.

American capitalism and American democracy no longer serve the people. Like all things that seem immutable, it will pass.
