Cartoon 897: Our model

All of a sudden Steven Spielberg that created the cute little benign alien in his movie “ET” and Steven Hawkins are having second thoughts about the congenial nature of aliens. For years we subscribed to the idea that intelligence is a mollifying factor of behavior. Yet some of the most heinous acts are committed by the most intelligent people. It almost seems high intelligence breeds sociopaths.

The earth’s biological model is based on a hierarchy. At the apex are those best able to acquire resources and nutriments. The acquisition is at the expense of those not as able. This model includes bacteria, animals and plants. If this model is axiomatic wherever there is biological life, we have a serious dilemma.

• Advanced aliens as intelligent or more intelligent will not be hospitable.
• They are going to be in the quest for resources and nutriments.
• They will use their capabilities to achieve their desires.
• The most abundant animal nutriment on the earth is humans.

It will be war of the worlds.
