Cartoon 917: Common Sense

In the last election prior training and experience was a detriment to electability. The way things traditionally work in most every political system is people move through the political arena in a variety of jobs gaining governing experience. The exception is a populist candidate. They rise purely on charisma and oratory. There are no mandated previous experience requirements or certifications.

The populist candidate assumes a governing position with philosophy and little else. They are surrounded by acolytes and opportunist. Their skewed view of those they govern is further exacerbated.
