At the time, it was a toss up
which was more powerful, the
former Soviet Union or America.
Only a clairvoyant knew of
the imminent collapse of the
Soviet Union.

The intelligence community
was caught flat footed and
the Soviet people were in
disbelief. America was left
without a rival.

It is just as unimaginable that
we might wake up tomorrow
to find America has collapsed
into independently Sovereign
areas or States transformed
into nations.
